2007 PUBLIC GOLF COURSE RANKINGS ANNOUNCED

Cypress Lakes once again ranked not only the Best Greens in Houston, but the best greens in Southeast Texas by Avid Golfer Magazine.
The latest rankings of the best golf courses in Houston, once again have given Cypress Lakes some great ratings. Avid Golfer Magazine's December edition have given Cypress Lakes Golf Club the highest ratings in the condition of our greens. Not only have we been ranked the best in Houston, but we have been ranked the best greens in Southeast Texas. According to editor Marc Button, Cypress Lakes has "without question, the purest rolling public greens in Southeast Texas."
Also, Cypress Lakes Golf Club have been been given the title as the 2nd most underrated golf course in Houston. Here is the caption below:
"Cypress Lakes underrated? You better believe it. Two volunteer course raters recently returned with the question, "That's a public course?" They were both blown away by the bentgrass-like quality of the greens putting surfaces (which are actually Champion Bermuda Ultradwarf, but superintendent Willy Plowman works some type of voodo on them that makes them roll like bent."

ABOUT US:
Cypress Lakes was designed and built by Jim Fazio, a prominent and leading golf course architect who, over the past several years, has designed some of the top golf courses all over the world. Mr. Fazio was hand-selected by George Middleton, the principal of Middleton Properties, Inc., owner of Cypress Lakes.
